Adam Troy Dunn was born 9 November 1979, in Houston, Texas is a Major League Baseball first baseman and outfielder who is a member of the Chicago White Sox. He bats left-handed and throws right-handed. Dunn got the nickname "Big Donkey" and is one of the National League's most feared slugger.
Dunn was a standout quarterback at New Caney High School in Texas. Dunn has previously committed to play football for the University of Texas. Dunn redshirted his freshman season, and served as a backup to Major Apple White.
Dunn shows remarkable plate discipline, he has been among the major league leaders every season in the number of pitches per at bat. Dunn has the fifth-highest career at bats per home run average in major league history.
